Jonathan (Jon) Mead joined the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) as a Research Consultant in August 2025.  As part of the Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics section, he supports various quality improvement projects including Ohio Colleges of Medicine Regional Quality Improvement Hub (QI Hub), Outcomes Acceleration for Kids (OAK), and Achieving Cardiovascular Equity (ACE+). In his role, he collaborates with teams to translate project goals into reliable measures and clear, actionable analytics.

Jon is a reporting and analytics professional with over a decade of experience in biomedical research across academic and federal settings. He builds reproducible data pipelines, implements statistical analysis, and safeguards data integrity at scale using a variety of tools, such as R, SAS, Bash, SQL, and Git. Prior to GRC, he served as a Biostatistics Senior Analyst in the Division of Human Genetics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, supporting the Dilated Cardiomyopathy Research Project.

Jon holds a Master’s in Translational Data Analytics (MTDA) from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering from The University of Toledo. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, visiting national parks with his wife, and cheering on the Buckeyes.
