Busra joined the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) in May 2023 and currently serves as a Research Consultant in the Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics section. She works on several quality improvement initiatives focused on women’s mental health, children’s mental health, substance use disorder, and chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Her current projects include Focus on ME: Mental Health is Essential Health, Children’s Mental Health, QI Hub, and STop UNhealthy Substance Use Now (STUN II). In her role, Busra applies her expertise in quantitative research and data analysis to improve healthcare outcomes and support evidence-based practices.

Before joining the GRC, Busra was a Graduate Research Associate at The Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy and a Graduate Teaching Associate for Introduction to Educational Statistics at The Ohio State University. During this time, she developed strong skills in research project coordination, data collection, data analysis, and data management, along with advanced knowledge of statistical methods and research design. She utilizes this expertise to contribute to evidence-based healthcare research and foster improvements in population health.

Busra holds a BSc in Science Education and an MA in Primary Education from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey. She earned her PhD in Quantitative Research, Evaluation, and Measurement from The Ohio State University, where her dissertation focused on applications of planned missing data designs in latent change score models.
